Why should I hire a private investigator?
A private investigator handles every investigation objectively and professionally, and does not allow personal feelings and/or biases affect the outcome of the investigation. Also, a private investigator is a professional and experienced fact finder with access to databases and other sources not available to the general public.  A private investigator can actually save you money by gaining information which may prove to be very valuable to your case or need.  A good private investigator can be money which is well invested.
Why should I hire Moore Investigations over other private investigative agencies?
Because of the vast investigative experience Moore Investigations has in many investigative areas due to prior major case law enforcement investigations, along with years of domestic, insurance claims, civil, and criminal defense investigations.  Because of MI's proven track record of success.  It's just that simple, results are what counts, and MI's record of results during investigations is among the best in the industry.
How do I get started?
It's really pretty simple once you've done your research and are satisfied that MI is the Private Investigator/Detective Agency you want to handle your case.  Simply contact us either by phone or email and we will be happy to consult with you (its FREE) on the next step to providing a solution to your case.
Why does MI require a retainer fee for domestic surveillance cases?
Requiring a retainer for domestic cases is standard procedure in the industry.  (As you can see in FAQ #11, retainer funds not used will be refuned if not used) Our retainer is set for a one day time period because anything less than a committment of one day will not provide sufficient opportunity to produce any valuable results.  The initial "one day" retainer fee is non-refundable.  We do accept credit cards to make this procedure easier for everyone, as well as all the other forms of payment which must be made before we can start. (See Pricing)
Why does MI require a written contract before a case begins?

A written contract eliminates "misunderstanding" regarding what is expected from the client and MI along with outlining the anticipated cost associated with the case.  The other reason is:  It is state law that written contracts must be provided to clients.  A written contract is good for both parties.

What happens if the target of the surveillance is not at the location at the start of the surveillance?

There are two answers for this question:

1.  For insurance fraud case we typically will do everything possible to verify the Claimant's presence at the location within the first four hours.  If the Claimant cannot be verified in the residence or business, etc., the day's surveillance activity will be called off and we'll try again another day after notification with the client.  There may be some exceptions to this rule, but for the most part this our standard operating procedure.

2.  For domestic cases (cheating spouse, etc.), the same four hour standard applies in some prearranged situations.  But, in most domestic cases, we have sufficient information from the client to warrant "staying on" the site longer than the four hours, but no matter the time arrangement, we will not waist your budget watching an empty house, business, bar, or other such situation without letting you know what is going on to determine the best for your case.

When will I get a report of the results of my case?

Unless otherwise agreed to, the normal turnaround time for reports, DVDs, etc., is 7 days from the completion of the assignment.  However, a verbal assessment of the case will be made to the client at the end of physical assignment, and or a summary of the case can be provided prior to the 7 day period.

When will I get a copy of the video which was obtained during surveillance on my case?

The normal turnaround time for video is 7 days, however it can be longer if an extended period of video was obtained which requires more editing work by our video editing staff.

What happens if my entire retainer is not used?

It is the aim of MI to complete your case in a timely manner while making sure to gather all the necessary evidence for your case.  Keeping in mind that all of our billings are 4 hour minimums; if your case is completed before all funds are used (except for the 1st day, non-refundable retainer), the unused funds will be refunded to you. Additional days of surveillance will require additional retainer for each day requested in advance of doing more surveillance or any investigative work.  Additional retainer days are considered refundable except for the 4hr minimum once the day's scheduled surveillance has started.  EXAMPLE:  You retain MI for 4 days of surveillance work.  Your total retainer would be $2300.  The first day of $575 is not refundable, but the remainer is refundable if the surveillance is no longer needed or you decide to cancel.  For this example, let's say the goals of the case are satisfied after 16hrs (two days) of survieillance, then you would receive a refund of $1150 because the funds were no longer needed to complete the case.

You may ask:  Why would I retain MI for more than 1 day at a time? The answer is that you may know there is a great possibility that the results you desire would probably not be accomplished in one day of surveillance (or two 4hr increments), and for the sake of not wasting time with signing new contracts each time, an extended time is planned, but can be cancelled at any time.  This is the best way to go because both MI personnel and the client can be assured that every effort is in motion to capture the evidence desired without surveillance disruption due to a need to get an additional retainer before continuing surveillance.
